My 2 years in Korea so far

Since I deleted my old blog I thought I should make a post, as the title says, about the last two years that I've been living in Korea. I'll try to keep it short but relevant. Also, I will obviously not post all the photos, just a few of them. They're also not time consistent. If you wanna see more detailed check out my Instagram. There's so much to write about so I can't possibly fit it all in here. If you have any questions regarding school, how I met my husband, living situation etc please feel free to ask me.

  • I moved to Korea in the end off September of 2015 to study Korean at Kyung Hee University. Ever since I was a kid I've been wanting to go to either Japan or Korea to learn either of the languages. It all comes from my interest in Asian culture in general from when i was ten years old.I got interested in China after watching a movie called "The Panda Adventure." So finally at the age of 23 I packed my bags and went to Seoul, for what was supposed to be 11 months. I started of with living in a Gisuksa 기숙사 (dormitory).

  • I met a lot of new friends, ate a lot of different food for the first time. I had eaten several Korean dishes before at home but far from all of it haha. I also went to my first K-Pop concert where I got to see my favorites BTS for the first time (I've seen them two times). In total I went to three festivals and one concert where I got to see groups such as: BTS, EXO, GOT7, SHINee, Kara, EXID, SISTAR, C.N Blue, Monsta X, Up10tion, Seventeen, Block B etc (I will make a separate post about the concerts). I also went on school trips, which weren't very fun to be honest, but it was mandatory haha.

  • I met my husband 계훈 Kyehun in the beginning of December 2015 and we became a couple on January 10th 2016. So the reason I'm actually still in Korea is because of said husband haha. We got married on August 18th 2017, but we haven't had our official wedding ceremony yet since it's a lot of work when you have families on two different continents and three different countries. But as it looks right now, we will hold the ceremony in April next year.

  • What more can I say? Me and my husband moved in together in April 2016 and moved again later to the building his parents own in June 2017. We have traveled to various places in Korea, such as Taean and Chuncheon. We've also gone to Osaka in Japan and Taipei in Taiwan. This summer he also came to Sweden (I was already there at the time) to visit my family. We've celebrated Christmases, birthdays etc with friends and we've got a cat called Silver and a dog called Hwarang.

Love yourself, Love myself

This is just plain beauty! My beloved BTS is now launching a campaign and "joins hands with the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) to stage campaigns against violence toward children and teens around the world, with the hope of making the world a better place through music." This is one of the reasons why I love them so much. They are not only talented when it comes to music, dancing, acting etc but they have such beautiful hearts and minds. "Many people make efforts to build a better world. Individually and in their own ways, they contribute to society. BTS sings about love for the world. They bring cheer to young people and spread social messages through music while continuing to sympathize with the concerns of young people who are their contemporaries. LOVE MYSELF is an extension of their concerns. It is high time to act and make a difference. A LOVE MYSELF fund is being raised with the four types of donations below over the next two years:  Donations wor...

My first hello

Well yes hello everybody. It's been a long time since I've been blogging,I can tell you that. I actually decided to delete my blog after that my hard drive crashed on my Macbook. I've been thinking about going back to blogging for quite some time now but haven't really found that spark to get started but now, will I guess it finally came back to me. Anyhow, that is all for now and I'll keep everyone that'll read this updated about what's happening here in Seoul, South Korea. I will take my time to fix a new header and fix the layout for the blog.

Dinner at the in-laws

On Saturday me and my husband went to his parents home, outside of Seoul in Seroak 설악 (his parents actually own the building we live in, but have another hose on the country side where they live.) We were originally going there to make kimchi 김치, but unfortunately my husband was a bit sleep so he managed to over sleep by a lot! We went there anyway and got to have some dinner, went down to the river, washed his car and so. I really love going to the country side to get away from the hectic city life here in Seoul.
